Dog Walking in Norfolk & most of Suffolk

Exercise, enrichment and individual attention across Norfolk & most of Suffolk

A good walk offers more than physical activity. It gives dogs the opportunity to explore their surroundings, investigate new scents and enjoy stimulation outside the home. Pawfect Pet Care offers individual and small-group walks across Norfolk and most of Suffolk, tailored to the dog in front of us.

How we match the walk to your dog

We offer individual walks and small-group outings, depending on the dog's temperament and suitability. During our initial conversation, we'll discuss their usual pace, recall, lead manners, confidence around other dogs and any particular concerns. This helps us agree an arrangement that prioritises their welfare and enjoyment.

Regular or occasional — your choice

Whether you need recurring weekday support or occasional help when your schedule changes, we'll discuss the available options and a routine that fits your dog. Regular weekly walks, ad-hoc bookings and short-notice cover can all be discussed.

Nervous, anxious or reactive dogs

We understand that some dogs need a quieter, more individual approach. During the initial discussion we'll ask about your dog's behaviour, triggers, walking history and how they respond to unfamiliar people and animals. Where appropriate, we can discuss individual walks and suitable routes away from busy areas. We'll agree a plan based on what we can safely and confidently provide. We are a pet care service, not a substitute for a qualified veterinary behaviourist or specialist behaviour professional.

Where we walk

Our walks use quiet lanes, riverside paths, woodland trails, heathland and open countryside across Norfolk and most of Suffolk. We plan routes around your dog — quieter roads for nervous dogs, larger open spaces for dogs who need to run, shaded woodland in summer, and shorter pavement walks for puppies still building stamina.

Frequently asked about Dog Walking

What is the difference between a dog walk and a home visit?
A dog walk focuses on outdoor exercise, exploration and enrichment, with the walking arrangement chosen to suit your dog's needs. A home visit is centred on care at your property and may include feeding, a toilet break, play, companionship or other agreed tasks.
Can you walk a dog that is nervous or reactive?
Yes. We have experience with nervous, anxious and reactive dogs. We discuss walking history, triggers and behaviour during the meet and greet, and walk solo on quiet routes where appropriate.
How do I book a dog walker?
Complete the booking form on our homepage, or contact us on WhatsApp. We aim to respond within 48 hours, discuss your requirements and arrange a free meet and greet before any walks begin.
Do you offer solo or group walking?
Both. Solo walks suit dogs who prefer one-to-one attention or need quiet routes. Small-group walks suit sociable dogs who enjoy company. We'll agree which arrangement works best during the meet and greet.

More questions about Dog Walking

What if my dog has never been walked by someone else before?
We always begin with a free meet and greet. This gives you, your dog and the carer who may be walking them an opportunity to get acquainted in a familiar setting. We'll discuss your dog's usual pace, recall, lead manners, confidence around other dogs and any particular concerns.

How do you decide which route to take?
We plan routes around the dog in front of us — quieter lanes for nervous or reactive dogs, open fields for dogs who need to run, shaded woodland for older dogs in summer, and shorter pavement walks for puppies still building stamina. If your dog has particular routes they love (or ones they avoid), just tell us.
What happens if my usual carer is unavailable?
We have a team of pet carers, and where scheduling allows we can discuss whether another suitable team member could provide the service. We cannot guarantee a replacement for every booking, so we recommend giving us as much notice as possible for regular walks and planned holidays.
