🍽️ Pet Feeding & Basic Care Visits

Pet Feeding & Basic Care Visits in Norfolk & most of Suffolk

Feeding, fresh water and daily care for cats, dogs, small animals and birds

Dedicated visits to feed cats, dogs, small animals or birds while you're away. We ensure fresh food and water, clean litter trays or cages, and provide loving attention — keeping routines exactly as you'd want them.

Who this service is for

Pet feeding and basic care visits are ideal for cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds and small pets who are happiest staying at home. Whether you're away for a night or a fortnight, we keep feeding times, water changes and daily care exactly as you leave them.

What each visit includes

Depending on your pet and your instructions, a feeding visit can include fresh food and water, cleaning litter trays or cages, a quick health check, a little companionship and any other agreed tasks. For cats we can also refresh scratching posts, run through play routines and provide calm company.

Routines kept exactly as you leave them

We'll ask for clear written instructions — what food, how much, when, any medication, and any preferences your pet has. The same carer attends each visit wherever possible, so your pet sees a familiar face. We send updates (with photos where helpful) so you can see exactly how they're doing.

Small animals and birds

We also look after small animals and birds — rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, budgies and other cage pets. Fresh food, clean water, cage cleaning and a little quiet company, all as you would do it yourself.

Frequently asked about Pet Feeding & Basic Care Visits

What is the difference between a feeding visit and pet sitting?
A feeding visit is a shorter, focused visit for feeding, water, litter or cage cleaning and a quick welfare check. Pet sitting usually involves longer periods at your home, often including overnight stays. Both services can be combined depending on your needs.
Can you give my pet medication during a feeding visit?
Where agreed in advance, yes. We'll ask for clear written instructions and your veterinary contact details. We will only agree to care tasks we can carry out safely and appropriately.
Do you send updates?
Yes — we'll discuss your preferred communication arrangements before the booking, including suitable updates and photographs where available.
How often should you visit?
This depends on your pet. Cats and small animals are often content with one or two visits a day, while dogs may need more frequent checks. We'll agree a schedule that suits your pet's routine.
